SCRAF's Country Christmas & Annual Christmas Fundraiser

Back in 2018, with chilly mornings setting in and a barn full of horses to care for, we realized we needed a reliable way to raise funds to support our herd through the toughest months of the year: winter. Feed prices were rising, medical needs were growing, and the horses - many recovering from past neglect & difficulty keeping weight on - needed warm blankets, hay, and attentive care every day.

That’s when we launched our very first Christmas Tree Fundraiser, and to our surprise, it was an overwhelming success. Supporters loved being able to shop for fresh-cut trees, wreaths, and holiday greenery while also making a real difference in the lives of horses. 

It wasn’t just festive - it was impactful.

Since then, we haven’t missed a single year (even when our home burned down, amazing friends stepped up to fulfill all orders and deliveries!) This annual tradition has grown into SCRAF’s largest and most essential fundraiser, allowing us to generate critical income to carry the horses through the winter season.

Every purchase - whether it’s a towering fir or decorative garland - helps provide:

• Nourishing feed and hay 
• Veterinary care, Blanketing & Equipment
• Facility upkeep & extra bedding during colder months
• Time, trust, and training for horses in recovery
   

And now, with our “Cross Wreaths For Heros” & "Trees / Wreaths / Bundles for Troops" options, the fundraiser also supports military and first responder families, delivering holiday cheer to those who serve, while continuing to fund our equine rescue efforts.

The last couple of years Country Christmas has grown to be bigger & better even having surprise visits from Santa! 🎅
