Our Top Priority is Equine Wellness. Every horse has a story, and every horse deserves the opportunity to live a safe, healthy, and fulfilling life. Whether a horse comes to SCRAF from the wild after facing environmental hardship or from a situation involving neglect, abuse, or mistreatment, we begin by evaluating & understanding the needs of that individual horse and provide the care, rehabilitation, training, and support needed for that horse's unique circumstances. Some will spend the rest of their lives in the safety of our sanctuary, while others are thoughtfully placed with carefully selected loving families who share our commitment to lifelong, compassionate care.

In 2022, SCRAF was asked to assist with Protecting the rare Endangered Spanish Barb Breed.

Helping Thoroughbreds come off the track, decompress & setting them up for successful second careers.

We offer Education & a certified Credentialing system through the USPC. Teaching all about horse safety & hands-on horsemanship so students and adult volunteers are equipped with consistent & thorough knowledge to best support the horses.

We work to build confidence, encourage love, compassion, and mental healing therapy through horses.

Our Mobile Minis (& occasional other horses) travel out to offer love, compassion, and mental well being to our local veterans & seniors.
